Curling Ontario - How to submit my annual club application?

By following these steps, you'll ensure your club is successfully registered with Curling Ontario for the 2024/2025 season!

 

1- Get Started

 

Before starting your application, it’s crucial to gather all the necessary information to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted process. Having these details ready will help streamline the completion of your application.

Key Information to Collect:


1. Member Demographics:  Total counts of members by category: 
     - Male
     - Female
     - Youth
     - Stick curlers 
     - Wheelchair curlers
     - Casual or renter curlers

2. Club Contact Information: Include (if applicable):
     - Club Manager
     - Ice Tech Manager
     - Board Chair/President
     - Board Vice Chair/Vice President
     - Treasurer
     - Secretary
     - Youth Coordinator
     - Other Board Members

3. Operational Details: 
   - Membership offerings
   - Annual General Meeting (AGM) date
   - Year the club was built
   - Facility ownership type (e.g., privately owned, membership owned, municipally owned)

4. Staff Information:
   - Paid staff count for operations and ice maintenance
   - Volunteer count
   - Ice technicians level

5. Ice Plant & Facility Equipment:

  • Compressor: Model, size, system type, installation year, rebuild years, pressure readings
  • Chiller: Model, installation year
  • Condenser: Model, installation year
  • Ice Floor: Composition, refrigerant type, header type, pipe details (type, diameter, age), insulation

By collecting this information in advance, you'll be well-prepared to fill out your application efficiently.

 

For New Clubs: 

  1. Access Curling Ontario Club Registration Portal here: https://curlingreg.com/#!/memberships/curlon-clubs
  2. Click on 'Start my club application'.
  3. Select 'Start new application' to begin.

As a renewing club


If your club was affiliated with Curling Ontario last season, you’ll receive a renewal link by email. This link will prefill your previous information, allowing you to review and update it for this season.

Resume your application

Steps to resume an ongoing application:

  1. From here: https://curlingreg.com/#!/CL-CurlON/permit/curlon-clubs/
  2. Click CONTINUE HERE:
  3. Then, select the resume/edit icon on your ongoing application:

2- Complete or Review Your Club Listing Information

  • Club Name Format: Enter the club name as: [Club Name] 2024/2025.
  • Start/End Dates: Those should reflect the opening and closing dates of your club’s season.

  • Listing Categories: Ensure you select at least one option from each mandatory dropdown (highlighted in red).

  • Add any social media links, if applicable.

Click SAVE & CONTINUE to proceed.

3- Complete Your Application Form

SECTION 1: Club Data Information

Choose how you want to manage your club data from the options below:

  • Option A: Statistical Reporting
    (Recommended for the 2024-25 season)
    • Provide statistical information by gender, age group, and specific roles (e.g., Ice Technicians, board members).
    • This data will offer a detailed demographic profile of your club.
  • Option B: Bulk Upload
    • Register members externally and upload the details using an Excel template provided by CurlingReg.
    • This will give members access to the Curling Ontario website.
  • Option C: Member-First Registration
    • Use CurlingReg to fully manage program registration and payments (if applicable) for Curling Ontario and Curling Canada.
    • Athletes will register individually via CurlingReg.

Regardless of the option you're selecting, you'll be prompted to: 

1- Create a registration category to activate your club dashboard on CurlingReg, if not already created. To do so:

  • Click ADD A NEW CATEGORY.

  • In the NAME field, enter "CLUB MEMBER".

  • In the PRICE field, enter "0".

  • Click SAVE.

2- Enter Member Statistics: Fill in the statistical information for your club members.

3- Curling Canada Membership Fees: If paying now, enter the number of curlers to be registered for Canada’s individual membership fee.

SECTION 2: Club Information

  • Review and complete all requested club information.
  • Ensure all mandatory fields are filled.
  • Click DONE once completed.

4- Review Your Club Cost Summary

  • Review the cost summary to ensure it is accurate.
  • Click 'Proceed to cart' if everything looks correct.

5- Payment

Online Payment

  • In the Billing & Payment section, enter your credit card information.
  • Click SUBMIT & COMPLETE to finalize the payment.

Offline Payment (Cheque, E-transfer, or Direct Deposit)

    • Leave your cart as it is.
    • Follow the instructions provided in the OFFLINE PAYMENT section.
