Multi-registration discounts can apply in the cart when someone is registering for multiple registration categories at the time.
Multi-registration discounts can be set up from your configuration tab --> registration categories sub-tab --> Overall Setup section, when Allow Multiple Registration is activated.
Multi-registration discount per person
From your configuration tab --> registration categories sub-tab --> Overall Setup section, make sure to activate the Allow Multiple Registration option.
Note: you need to save once for the discount section to display.
1- Click on Add multi-registration discount
- Enter a Discount Name (that will display in cart and on the receipt)
- Enter a Discount Amount and select the Discount Type (Value or Percentage)
- Enter the min and max registration needed in cart to trigger the discount
- If you want to trigger for exactly 2 registration, enter 2 and 2
- If you want to trigger for 2 or more, enter 2 and 20 for example
- For the discount to trigger for individual registrations only, you MUST tick Same Participant Required to Trigger Discount
- If you want the system to include past registration in the trigger logic, you need to tick Include Past Registrations. In which case, if someone already registered for another registration category in that registration process in the past (has a complete registration on their profile), the discount will trigger for the newly added registration in the cart (Please note, the first completed registration WILL NOT benefit from the discount retroactively).
2- Save, the registration will display in the table and will be added to each registration category with a price:
If you add more registration categories, later on, the multi-registration discount WILL NOT include that new category automatically.
At the moment, you would need to delete the existing discount and create a new one to replace it in order to include the newly added registration categories.
Multi-registration discount per user account
This can be useful to set up family discounts (registering multiple children from the same user account).
From your configuration tab --> registration categories sub-tab --> Overall Setup section, make sure to activate the Allow Multiple Registration option.

- Enter a Discount Name (that will display in cart and on the receipt)
- Enter a Discount Amount and select the Discount Type (Value or Percentage)

FAMILY DISCOUNT FOR FOR PROCESSES THAT DO NOT ALLOW MULTI-REGISTRATION FOR A SINGLE PARTICIPANT
Once you've set up your discount, you need to deactivate the Allow Multiple Registration option - that will keep your discount logic on, but remove the option for the same person to register for multiple registration option within your registration process.
That's the best way to manage family registration discounts made from a single user account.
