This guide details how to obtain your HPAC membership and pilot/instructor ratings.

How to register for my paragliding/hang gliding/speed flying membership

Before any pilot or instructor ratings can be submitted and approved, you must have a valid HPAC pilot membership. To do so: 

  1. Click here to access the membership registration page. 
  2. Select  of the pilot option:
  3. If not already, input your address and phone number and click save & continue:
  4. Select your discipline, in this example, we will chose the paragliding membership. Click on next.
  5. Answer the forms. Questions marked with a red * are mandatory in order to continue. When completed, click next.
  6. The summary page makes it possible for you to review your current registration and make updates if needed. Make sure that eveything is corect before continuing as it is the last time you will be able to make changes before payment. To edit information, simply select the edit button. 
    Once you have verified that everything is correct, click on confirm membership and proceed. 
  7. An online signature may be required as part of your registration. The system will ask you to confirm if you are registering yourself or not, if you are, click on yes:
    You will be redirected to said document. Carefully read its content, tick the 'I AGREE' boxes, enter your name at the bottom of the page and click I agree to the above. 

    If you are registering someone else, click on no and enter the email of the person you are registering. They will receive a link so that they can review and sign the document on their end. Their membership will not be valid until the signature has been collected.
  8. Once in the cart, carefully review your selection. Enter you credit card number and click on submit and complete.

Once the payment has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email as well as your receipt.

How to get my pilot rating for PARAGLIDING 

To receive your pilot rating, you must first register for your annual paragliding membership. Once registered, your instructor will be responsible for submitting your pilot information, which will be used to determine your rating. Make sure to connect with your instructor so they can complete this step on your behalf.

Submitting a Pilot’s Information (For Instructors)
If you're an instructor looking to submit pilot information, follow the steps in this guide.

  • Pilot Instructor: may record pilot ratings P1 – P4

  • Senior Pilot Instructor: may record  P1 – P4 and submit Instructor or Senior Instructor ratings  (Senior rating requires submitting an approved BoD letter)

  • Senior Tandem Instructor: may submit new Tandem Instructor ratings  (requires submitting an approved BoD letter)

  • Tandem Instructor: no rating or approval privileges

  • Apprentice Instructor: no rating or approval privileges

 


 Access check:
• Your HPAC membership for the current year must be active.
• Your account must show the required Instructor / Senior Instructor rating.
• If you are unable to select a rating OR if you can’t find the pilot profile, email admin@hpac.ca with your name, HPAC #, the pilot’s name and the rating you need to enter. HPAC must add you as an evaluator and give you visibility over the pilots. 

How to get my instructor rating for PARAGLIDING 

To receive your instructor rating, you must first register for your annual paragliding membership. Once registered, your senior instructor will be responsible for submitting your instructor information, which will be used to determine your rating. Make sure to connect with your senior instructor so they can complete this step on your behalf.

Submitting an Instructor's Information (For Senior Instructors)
If you're a senior instructor looking to submit instructor information, follow the steps in this guide.

  • Senior Instructor: may submit new Instructor or Senior Instructor ratings
    (Submitting a Senior Instructor rating requires an approved BoD letter)

  • Senior Tandem Instructor: may submit new Tandem Instructor or Senior Tandem Instructor ratings
    (Submitting a Senior Tandem Instructor rating requires an approved BoD letter)

  • Instructor and Tandem Instructor: do not have rating or approval privileges

  • Apprentice Instructor: does not have rating or approval privileges


Access check:

• Your HPAC membership for the current year must be active
• Your account must show the required Senior Instructor or Senior Tandem Instructor rating
• If you are unable to select a rating OR can’t find the instructor profile, please email admin@hpac.ca with your name, HPAC #, the instructor’s name, and the rating you need to enter. HPAC must add you as an evaluator and grant visibility over instructor profiles.
