What is CurlingReg?
CurlingReg serves as the official membership and event registration platform for Curling Canada.
CurlingReg is developed and maintained by Interpodia, a technology and online solutions provider that has been collaborating with sports organizations since 2009. Interpodia is based in Vancouver, BC. For more details about Interpodia's technology and its compliance with PCI standards, please click here.
Membership Registration
The membership registration process integrates up to four levels of organizations that work together seamlessly:
- Clubs
- MAs
- Provincial Representatives (if applicable)
- Curling Canada
Each organization has the capability to gather information from registrants and utilize this data in accordance with privacy regulations. For details regarding Interpodia's privacy practices, please refer to their privacy policy here.
IMPORTANT - It is essential to understand for CurlingReg to function optimally, participants must complete their own registrations online. As a result, we aim to gradually minimize the reliance on bulk uploads over time.
Annual rollout
To guarantee that membership registration data is accurately organized, the annual membership registration process must be reconfigured at the start of each season. This process consists of three distinct phases, which must be completed in the following sequence:
- The configuration process begins with the setup of the Curling Canada Dashboard.
- Following this, each Membership Association's (MA) dashboard is configured.
- Finally, the club dashboards are set up, provided that the clubs have submitted their annual applications through their respective MAs.
IMPORTANT - Rollout timelines can differ by province or region, so clubs are encouraged to reach out to their Membership Association (MA) representatives for specific details. Each season, MAs will provide clubs with the necessary steps to set up a new club dashboard. It is important that these steps are carefully followed to ensure the approval of the new dashboard.
Club Configuration Options
To facilitate online membership registration, a club is required to select a configuration option. This configuration option defines the purchasing choices—such as memberships and club programs—that are available to registrants within CurlingReg.
There are two configuration options available, allowing clubs to choose the one that best aligns with their operational needs. Additionally, clubs have the flexibility to switch from one configuration option to another from season to season.
The following table provides a clear overview of the available configuration options for clubs:
