SkateReg: How to setup your "series" events

 


Create a new event 'from scratch'

1- From your EVENTS & COURSES menu, click on 'Create a new Event': 

2- From the "Reuse an existing financial organization" popup, select the relevant option based on the type of event you'd like to create. Eg: for series, it's 'Events & Competitions'

3- Enter your event listing details: 

4- Select the applicable 'classification' (this can be used to filter the event directory, once in place)

5- Add Social Media Links (optional)

6- Click SET UP REGISTRATION

7- Enter the registration dates (that can be edited later on) & the fee structure

8- Add at least one registration category (you can add more later from the dashboard)

9- Click DONE at the bottom of the page (the rest of the setup is done from the dashboard), and then click CONTINUE TO DASHBOARD

 


Dashboard Settings

Listing Tab

  • Review Name
  • Review URL

Configuration > Overview Tab

  • Review Registration Opens & Closes dates (applicable to all registration categories)
  • Review Event Start & End dates

Configuration > Content Tab

  • Review & Update Registration Page Description
  • Review & Update Registration Confirmation Email details (header, reply-to address, subject, body)
  • Review Transaction Successful Message

Configuration > Contact Tab

  • Review Event Contact Information details

Configuration > Registration Categories Tab

  • Review Event Max Capacity (if applicable)
  • Review Age Calculation Date
  • (if applicable) Activate 'Multiple Registration'
  • Review, Update, Add Individual Registration Options
    • Individual Event, select "is used for" = individual
      • Review Name
      • Review Price (per participant)
      • Review Age/Gender Registration 
      • Review Description
    • Team/Partner Event, select "is used for" = group
      • Review 'Registration Method'
      • Review Min/Max Group Side
      • Review Price (per team)
  • (if applicable) Review, Update, Add Group Registration Options

  • CSS Report details
  • Adding the 'Home Club Selector' Widget: please specify if the club affiliation needs to be collecter PER SKATE and/or PER TEAM
  • Adding Survey Forms: 
    • Skate Ontario Member Information
    • Registrant Information

Create a Store to manage the 'Livestream Fee'

  • Store Name: Livestream Fee
  • Store Display: Select the list of either 'Individual Categories' OR 'Group/Team Categories' depending on whether the team is per participant or per team
  • Store Type: In Process + MANDATORY PRODUCT
  • Store Item Name: Livestream Fee
  • Review Tax & Fee Structure
  • Purchase Option: 
    • Name: Fee
    • Price
    • Per Registration Limitation: 1

Music File Naming

  • event_name = Event Name, available under Event Listing Tab
  • category_custom_id = Registration Category Custom Category ID, available in the registration category edit popup, under 'category main setup' from Configuration > Registration Categories
  • question_description = registration form question description field content, available from Configuration > Registration Forms

    Tip: use source mode to avoid having unwanted formatting kwargs in your music file naming

 

 


Live Streaming Fee Setup

1- Make sure your team categories are set to allow charging 'per participant' fees. Under Group Registration Categories Overall Setup, in the Registration method field, select the option highlighted in red below.

2- Setup your fee (as a store product) on each individual category

From the Store Tab: 

  • Click 'Add Store'
    • Store Name: Live Streaming Development Fee - EVENT NAME
    • Store Display: Select all the applicable categories the fee should be charged for (note: ONLY select the 'Registration Category' options, event for team categories, for the fee to get charged PER PARTICIPANT)
    • Store Type: In Process
      • Single Purchase
      • Mandatory Product (forced purchase)
    • Display order: 1
    • Store Status: Active
  • Click 'Add Store Item'
    • Store Item Name: EVENT NAME Live Streaming Development Fee
    • Display order: 1
    • Who is paying the processing fee: Organizer
    • Do you need to charge sales tax: select applicable options
  • Click 'Add purchase option'
    • Name: $10.00 + HST (or relevant amount)
    • Price before taxes: enter the relevant amount
    • Display order: 1
    • Per registration limitation: 1
    • In the purchase option, advanced configuration popup, add a 'per identity limitation' = 1 (that will make it so that the fee is charged per skater, regardless of how many registration categories they enter)unnamed (1)3-3

SAVE

Your list of store displays is ready, as follow:
